Houston – Day 1

I flew down from Vancouver to Houston today for the International Quilt Market and Festival.   This evening I met up with some friends from Vancouver and from Houston. We attended Fabric 2.0 a meet and greet event, and then the Sample Spree.  I came back to my hotel room with quite a haul, most of it complimentary!

Tomorrow the exhibits open, and in the evening I’ll attend the Modern Quilt Guild meetup.  There are lots of class every day, but I’m not enrolled in any until early next week.

Here’s some great street art I saw today, and some downtown buildings with interesting reflections of other buildings.

Sounds like so much fun! Thanks for sharing! I love that street art piece with the raised cubes in a variety of colours. It definitely looks like a quilt!
