I’m in Houston for the International Quilt Market and Festival (see my recent posts for details). Today I have nothing scheduled for the morning, and the exhibits and quilt show will not be open until 5 pm. In anticipation that I might have (or want) some quiet time in my hotel room, I brought some fabric, fusible web and sketches I’ve been planning to turn into quilts. Here’s what I made this morning. I just used a newspaper as the background because I didn’t have the right fabric, but I really like the look of it.

Love the newsprint with the bold, solid coloured folks. How bit will you make it? You could photograph the paper and print it on fabric.

That is so gorgeous! You know… I like the newsprint. I recall there being a fabric with print like that. There’s just something about the black & white text running in lines down like rain. It’s perfect!!
