The tree is completely pieced and off the design wall, and I’ve started the quilting. I’m planning to enter this one in the Canadian National Juried Show and the entry deadline is looming. I’ll be concentrating on this for the next week or so.

Reflections, shadows and flowers on a beautiful sunny day.
...
My wish for March is much the same as for February: Spring flowers - crocuses, daffodils and more. And no snow!
...
Flowers, driftwood, shadows and reflections.

This was so much fun! My lower mainland fibre art group meets once a month. In January our activity was making a fibre version of a ‘paper doll’. We were each given a 24 inch high doll shape made of interfacing. We were paired with another member and instructed to each make a ‘paper doll’ of the other person. I was paired with Jennie @jenniecole_artandquilts She made a doll representing me and I made one representing her.
There were almost 30 dolls displayed at our February meeting. I didn’t get photos of all of them but this is a good representation.
Can you guess which is me and which is Jennie?

Went for a walk today on the Pattullo Bridge. It has been closed to traffic as its replacement is now fully open. This weekend the old bridge is open to pedestrians and cyclists. After that it will be permanently closed, and will be demolished over the next 2 years.
I will be sad to see it go and I’m glad I got to say goodbye today.

Today on the boardwalk - a beautiful hummingbird and two kissing (?) crows.

All kinds of flowers blooming along the boardwalk today.

We visited the Vancouver Art Gallery last night. We enjoyed the exhibits on all 3 floors but what really captured my attention was the Jim Lambie: Zobop (Colour-Chrome) installation in the stairs and floor of the Gallery Rotunda.
They were covered with brightly coloured strips of industrial vinyl tape. The Rotunda can be viewed from all 3 floors so we captured several different views.
