Rainy Day People in SAQA Auction

Rainy Day People 2 has been posted on the SAQA Auction site. It’s on page 1b about half way down. While you’re there, check out all the other awesome quilts. And there will be lots more coming.

. Walking in the rain. 🌧️ ☔️ Our first rainy cool walk in a long time. We made it more interesting by looking for raindrops and reflections.

Beautiful array of colourful fall foliage along the Quay boardwalk. And a few flowers still blooming.

. What a difference a day makes. The orange steel arch of the Pattullo Bridge was removed this weekend and now floats on a barge awaiting removal and recycling. I’ve included some photos from yesterday when it was still intact. I’m sad to see it go.

. The steel arch of Pattullo Bridge will be removed over the long weekend, Oct. 9-11. We walked down this morning to watch. But other than the cranes clustered underneath the bridge, we couldn’t see any progress. We will check again tomorrow. Second image is tonight’s sunset.

. It was a beautiful summer day to explore the New West Cultural Crawl. I visited several locations traveling by bus and on foot. Location 10 The Gallery at Queens Park was my first stop. Lots of great art by a variety of artists. Location 9 my friend Terry Rammell. She has a beautiful studio with lots of eco-printed art, paintings and more. Location 15 Braid Studios. I visited with and saw work by several artist friends @susanlgreigart @jenniejohnstonartist @trish.beadlady @franfriesen Location 23 Anvil Centre was my last stop. There was lots of art and a poetry reading. But I didn’t take any photos (I was getting tired) @nwculturalcrawl @artsnewwest @braidstudios.art
