\"DSCN2966\"<\/a>Lots of progress on the Indigo Project quilt.\u00a0 I stitched around the red fish, and stitched the water with a variegated blue thread.\u00a0 In the sky I’ve done some wavy machine quilting, and some handing stitching.\u00a0 I’ve fused and stitched the flying geese.\u00a0 I still have do some more quilting in the sky and on the red curve.\u00a0\u00a0 Then I’ll finish with a faced edge.\u00a0 I’m really happy with the abstract look of it.<\/p>\n

\"DSCN2963\"<\/a>I took a couple of hours the other day to start playing with an idea that’s been in my head since I bought this fabric<\/a> at IKEA.\u00a0 I’ve seen a lot of people use this fabric as a quilt backing, but I wanted to use it to make a quilt top.\u00a0 I’m not sure what it will look like when it’s completed – some combination of big circles and lines with lots of different text fabrics.\u00a0 Mostly black and white and gray with a few accents of bright colors.\u00a0 I’m happy the idea is out of my head and on my design wall.<\/p>\n
