I finished my Converging Corners quilt.<\/p>\n

It started back in March, when I submitted this block lottery idea<\/a> to my guild – the Vancouver MQG.\u00a0 I loved the bright colors with the solid white background.\u00a0 I made sample blocks to show my guild – I just had to make 4 of them so I could see the effect of the converging corners.\u00a0 At the April meeting, several members brought blocks – there were a total of 22 blocks.\u00a0 We held the block lottery, and I won!<\/p>\n

I only used 16 of the blocks because I wanted a square quilt.\u00a0 (I gave the extra 6 blocks to one of my fellow guild members, because she had made 8 blocks for the lottery!)\u00a0 When I pieced the blocks together, I decided to insert skinny black strips at each corner, and I really think it ties all the blocks together.\u00a0 As I explained in this post<\/a>, I had originally planned to bind it with black, but decided instead on a 1\/4 inch black border with scrappy colorful 3\/8 inch binding.\u00a0 I’m very happy with how it looks.<\/p>\n
