{"id":377,"date":"2012-11-14T07:38:08","date_gmt":"2012-11-14T15:38:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/?p=377"},"modified":"2012-11-28T08:05:58","modified_gmt":"2012-11-28T16:05:58","slug":"tree-quilt-some-progress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/2012\/11\/14\/tree-quilt-some-progress\/","title":{"rendered":"Tree quilt &#8211; chapter 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lots of progress on the blue tree quilt since my <a title=\"On my design wall\" href=\"http:\/\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/2012\/11\/07\/on-my-design-wall-7\/\">last post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I have most of the foliage cut and pinned to the pattern on the design wall.\u00a0 I still think it looks fine with just the one fabric for the foliage (although I have used 4 different yellow fabrics for the sky and 3 chartreuse fabrics for the trunk and branches).\u00a0 I&#8217;ve pinned up a few triangles of yellow for sky showing through the foliage.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/DSCN0022.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-445\" title=\"Terry Aske - Blue Tree - in progress\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/DSCN0022.jpg?resize=640%2C488\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"488\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/DSCN0022.jpg?resize=1024%2C782&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/DSCN0022.jpg?resize=300%2C229&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/DSCN0022.jpg?w=1280 1280w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/DSCN0022.jpg?w=1920 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m continuing to gather fabrics for the background and foreground.\u00a0 As soon as I have all the fabric for the top part cut and pinned, I&#8217;ll start auditioning fabrics for the bottom.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m starting to think about a title for this quilt.\u00a0 So far I&#8217;ve come up with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blue Tree (not very imaginative!)<\/li>\n<li>Sunshine on a Blue Tree<\/li>\n<li>Blue Tree on a Sunny Day<\/li>\n<li>What Season is This?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;d love to hear some suggestions for quilt titles!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lots of progress on the blue tree quilt since my last post.
