Happy belated International Artists Day<\/a>, which was on Wednesday, October 25th!<\/p>\n

In my last post, I gave a sneak peek at my three pieces of my art entered in the International Artists Day (IAD) Anonymous Show<\/a>, at 100 Braid St Studios in New Westminster BC.<\/p>\n

I attended the Gala Opening on Wednesday evening.\u00a0 Here are some photos of the art work on display.\u00a0 All the pieces are 12 x 12 x 1.5 inches, and mounted in a very striking grid formation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I’m thrilled to say that one of my pieces sold early in the evening, and now I can reveal it here.\u00a0 ‘Jade Sky at Morning’ started with a photo I took of the WOW Westminster<\/a> installation.\u00a0 Then I digitally enhanced the photo, printed it on fabric, quilted it and mounted it on a canvas-covered frame.\u00a0 I’ll describe my process in more detail in a future post.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

There are still lots of wonderful pieces of art on display, including oil and acrylic paintings as well as textile art and mixed media pieces.<\/p>\n

Each piece can be purchased for a very reasonable price of $150, with $100 going directly to the artist; and the remainder to Camp Kerry Society to provide art supplies and therapy to bereaved children and families and to cover basic costs of the show.<\/p>\n

The art will be on display, and available for purchase, at 100 Braid St Studios<\/a>, tonight and on Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n
