both for the same quilt <em>&#8216;Eclipse&#8217;<\/em>, but at 2 different shows &#8211; see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/exhibitions-awards-publications\/awards-and-publications\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this page<\/a> for details.\u00a0 I also submitted art to 2 SAQA auctions.<\/p>\n<p>I was thrilled to have my work exhibited at several local venues during 2017, so I was able to see my work on display.\u00a0 A few of my favorites were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><i>\u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/www.anglicanfoundation.org\/60th\/exhibit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(in)finite: spiritual conversations in cloth<\/a>\u2018 <\/i>at Christ Church Cathedral, Vancouver, BC<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/2017\/08\/21\/architexture-exhibit-update-2017-08-21\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>&#8216;ArchiTEXTURE: Hard Edges in a Soft Medium&#8217;<\/em><\/a> a 4-person textile art exhibit in New Westminster BC<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/2017\/10\/27\/celebrating-international-artists-day-2017-10-27\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Artists Day (IAD) Anonymous Show<\/a>, in New Westminster BC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/workshop-descriptions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Trunk shows and workshops<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 I continued to show my work at local guilds, and teach workshops.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Travel<\/strong> &#8211; this was a great year for travel for me &#8211; some quilting-related, some not.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>January &#8211; I traveled to Inuvik NWT to teach a 2-day workshop (read about it <a href=\"http:\/\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/2017\/01\/20\/january-in-inuvik-nwt-2017-01-20\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>May &#8211; the SAQA Western Canada first ever retreat in Kelowna BC (it was fun, educational and inspiring &#8211; but apparently I totally forgot to blog about it!)<\/li>\n<li>June &#8211; a week in NYC with my husband, following by a week in Toronto at Quilt Canada (blog post <a href=\"http:\/\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/2017\/07\/04\/june-was-a-busy-month-2017-07-04\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>September &#8211;
