In my last post, I showed a glimpse of the 3 artworks I submitted to the International Artists Day (IAD) Anonymous Festival<\/strong><\/a>, at 100 Braid St Studios in New Westminster BC.<\/p>\n

I’m happy to say that one of my pieces sold at the Opening Gala on Thursday night, so I can now show it here.<\/p>\n

‘WOW Westminster with Dots\u2019 is a photo of a local New Westminster public art installation \u2013 WOW Westminster<\/a> \u2013 that I digitally enhanced, printed on fabric, fused to felt and machine-quilted.\u00a0 Then I wrapped it on a stretched canvas.<\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0 \"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If this looks familiar, it’s because this is one of my favorite landmarks in New Westminster, and it has been featured in several of my artworks, including one the pieces I submitted in last year’s IAD Anonymous show<\/a>.\u00a0 I started with the same photo, but used very different digital editing tools.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On Friday night, I went to see the show.\u00a0 The art was hung so the name of the artists are hidden.\u00a0 When an artwork is purchased, the art is removed from the display wall and the artist’s name revealed. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The show is on display today until 5pm.\u00a0 Next week, if my pieces haven’t been sold, they will be returned to me.\u00a0 So I’ll post more next week about how I made them.<\/p>\n
