<\/a><\/p>\nThe technique I’m using for this quilt involves drawing the full size pattern on freezer paper, then cutting the pieces apart and ironing each piece to the back of the fabric.\u00a0 I pin all the pieces on the design wall to ensure everything works together, before commencing sewing.\u00a0 All seam are straight lines (no curves at all), so I leave the freezer paper on the back of each piece as I sew it together.\u00a0\u00a0 On past quilts I’ve made with this technique, I used my 1\/4″ foot.\u00a0 This time, I’m using my walking foot, and it’s working really well.\u00a0 No slippage, even on the really long seams across the width of the quilt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
