It’s done!\u00a0 (Well, except for hand stitching the facing to the back, and adding a sleeve and label – the boring parts.)\u00a0 And, it finally has a title – Even Trees Get the Blues<\/strong> (thanks to my sister Anne for this creative idea).\u00a0 The finished size is 48.5 x 48 inches.\u00a0\"TerryAske_EvenTreesGetTheBlues\"<\/a><\/p>\n

As usual, I was a bit nervous about the free motion quilting, but once I started, I was happy with the results. \u00a0I did un-stitch some of the rolling hills and restitched them because I wasn’t happy with my first attempt. \u00a0I used a loose loopy shell stitch on the tree foliage, and I’m really happy with how it looks. \u00a0On the bottom section, I stitched around the leaf shapes and extended the leaf pattern into the mottled fabric.\"TerryAske_EvenTreesGetTheBlues_detail1\"<\/a><\/p>\n
