I had selected a background fabric and was about to start the quilting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m doing the quilting in 2 stages.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here&#8217;s how I did the first stage.  I spray-basted the background fabric to a layer of acrylic felt.  Then I positioned the succulents and quilted along the edges of the bias strips around each leaf.
