I&#8217;m making blocks of 6 black &amp; white prints plus a solid black.  Then I am going to do some or all of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>leave [some of] the blocks 12 inches high by 6 inches wide<\/li><li>cut [some of] the blocks into 6 inch squares<\/li><li>add some large circular shapes<\/li><li>add some other black &amp; white prints<\/li><li>add some bright colors<\/li><li>if I don&#8217;t like how it&#8217;s looking, I&#8217;ll cut the blocks up and reassemble them <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1101\" height=\"1101\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/these-6-prints-solid-black.jpeg?fit=640%2C640\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6353\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/these-6-prints-solid-black.jpeg?w=1101&amp;ssl=1 1101w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/these-6-prints-solid-black.jpeg?resize=300%2C300&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/these-6-prints-solid-black.jpeg?resize=1024%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/these-6-prints-solid-black.jpeg?resize=150%2C150&amp;ssl=1 150w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.terryaskeartquilts.com\/Studio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/these-6-prints-solid-black.jpeg?resize=768%2C768&amp;ssl=1 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I cut freehand curves through all the fabrics, so I could mix and match the fabrics when I sewed them together.  I knew I couldn&#8217;t cut through 7 layers at one time, so I made a freezer paper pattern for the curved shapes.
